What is the best camcorder format? - professional camcorder with hard drive
We are looking for a video camera would be the best SD card, hard drive, DVD? It is not intended for professional use, holidays just about everything, and it would be nice if we could edit the recordings to our laptops.

If you travel a lot, I recommend a camera SD. They are generally much lighter than hard drive cameras, and are reliable in general. The recording could be a problem, but you can get 8 GB SD cards on eBay for under $ 40, and since cameras are usually flash memory or even $ 100 cheaper than the cameras hard drive to save money. Get a pair of 8GB cards and you can switch between them if your laptop you can transfer files that the other records on a card. I recommend the Canon Vixia HF100, which pulls in AVCHD and is about $ 650. Or if you're not even on the zoom and / or control has gotten Aiptek camera flash, usually for less than $ 200. I think that would be the best solution to go with the hard drive. The drive will facilitate the export of the camera to the PC. Another interesting thing is that a hard drive is not expensive to keep buying tapes or DVDs. My only suggestion would be to ensure that you get a camera with great Hardrive, so if you ever in a situation where you do not have a computer, you eough space on the hard disk of the film.
